In 1990, Cynthia Smith commissioned a piece for cellist Jeffrey Krieger inspired by the children's book Eloise by Kay Thompson. The piece has five sections, but I am posting only the last one here. It is called Eloise Alone.

Here's the cello version of the piece.
Here's a viola version of the piece.
If you want to perform it, please get in touch with me to get the pre-recorded tracks. And if you'd like to hear the other four sections, I can make them available to you as well.
